Since his first collections, Gareth Pugh has been widely considered the most promising young designer in the UK. Jefferson Hack, co-founder of the magazines Dazed + Confused, Another Magazine and Another Man, calls Pugh  » one of Britain’s most gifted rising stars, a designer with a powerful and unique vision. Often theatrical and futuristic, he makes the improbable possible through highly inventive design.

Pugh first debuted off-schedule at London Fashion Week in 2005. His first on- schedule show in 2006 won the New Generation prize from the UK chain Topshop, and in 2007 he was named « Young Designer of The Year » by ELLE UK magazine.
In 2008, he won the ANDAM Fashion Award an the opportunity to represent cutting-edge British design on the world stage of the Paris catwalks, the home of couture and fantasy fashion.

Pugh is also known for his many collaborations with singer Kylie Minogue, creating the stage costumes for the international tours, and with photographer Nick Knight as well as the companies Moet & Chandon and M.A.C Cosmetics.
