ERIK HALLEY
Since 1994, accessories designer Erik Halley has been signing ornaments as extravagant as colorful. By using feathers, plexiglas, and Swarovski crystals, the designer amuses himself by giving life to Schiaperelli surreal hats, or transforming car bones into sophisticated brooches. His work pushes the boundaries of Haute Couture in order to offer women the most exuberant accessories.
In 1999, Erik Halley created his first Swaorvski lobster, which has been his emblem ever since. His sparkling and exalted eyes has earned him an international reputation, leading to designs for the most prestigious houses such as Christian Lacroix, Alexander McQueen, Paco Rabanne, Givenchy, Chanel, Mugler ou Yohji Yamamoto and many celebrities including Beyoncé, Madonna and David Bowie. Erik Halley reaffirms his taste for a sophisticated style in which transgression serves beauty, like for instance the Miss Protocole watches he designed for Piaget.
Today his work on volume leads him to approach new aspects of the fashion industry, like packaging, bottles (limited edition of Arpège by Lanvin) and product design.
He was awarded by ANDAM in 1997 and 2001.
