THOMAS ENGEL HART

Fashion Designer Thomas Engel Hart was born in New York and studied at the Fashion Institute of Technology. At the age of 25 he moved to Paris where he worked for Berçot, and then assisted André Walker and Véronique Leroy from 2000 to 2001. He launched his own label with a Spring/Summer 02 collection, inspired by ‘Rock and Roll Dandies’. In 2002, he won a fellowship award by Andam. In 2005 Engel Hart was named as design chief for French fashion house Thierry Mugler. In 2008, he returned to his own label in Paris Fashion Week where he presented his new Spring/Summer 09 collection ‘Disco Butoh’.
